Abstract

This work offers the opportunity to examine the possibility of implementing a solar chimney power plant in the region of M'Sila (Algeria) whose solar potential is exceptional. The solar chimney is a generator of electricity starting from solar energy. Performance analysis of a solar chimney which has similar characteristics to prototype Manzaneres (Spain), that could produce 39-72 kW, and that would be used to supply electricity to 39 000-72 000 inhabitants, was performed using the software fluent. The results obtained are very promising.
