Abstract

From counts of spermatocyte and oocyte bivalents and of mitotic chromosomes we have determined the haploid number n= 13 and the diploid number 2n = 26 for the species Hydroides elegam. No sex-differentiated chromosome was found. A peculiar stretch between daughter kinetochores was observed at mitotic premetaphase stage. © 1984 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
