Abstract

Gandolfo et al. report the key role played by regulatory T cells in modulating recovery from ischemic renal injury. The role of regulatory T cells in modulating ischemia-reperfusion injury in the kidney and other organs is discussed in this commentary. © 2009 Inernational Society of Nephrology.
