PEMANFAATAN SMS GATEWAY PADA SISTEM INFORMASI ABSENSI SISWA DI SMAN 12 PEKANBARU BERBASIS WEB.

Abstract

SMAN 12 Pekanbaru is one of the State Senior High Schools in Riau having its address at Jl.Garuda Sakti, KM.3 SimpangBaru. SMAN 12 Pekanbaru still uses a manual attendance system where subject teachers must attend students when starting classes in class. The manual attendance system is still less effective and efficient because there are still many problems in the process because they still use attendance files so that it impedes the performance of the teachers to find out the attendance of their students. On the other hand faced is the lack of communication and information between the school and parents. This can lead to dishonesty of students to parents by reporting being in teaching and learning activities but in reality the student is not present in teaching and learning activities.This study aims to produce a web-based attendance system integrated with SMS Gateway at SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. With the SMS Gateway on the system, the system will automatically give parents notice of students' attendance at school. Through research and development of information systems at SMAN 12 Pekanbaru, the results show that the use of the attendance information system application can provide solutions in the process of attendance.
