Sustainable Tourism Management Strategy Using Dynamic System Approach in Indonesia's Super Priority Destinations

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the policies and strategies of the Indonesian government to encourage economic growth in the sustainable tourism sector in Indonesia's super priority destination areas. This study presents the sustainability of tourism in Super Priority Destinations based on Permenparekraf No. 11 of 2022 concerning the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency for 2020-2024. This study will use system dynamics to investigate many phenomena of tourism complexity in Indonesia's Super Priority Destinations. This study uses a mixed-methods approach with qualitative research, using an exploratory approach and secondary data as supporting data for processing. Quantitative Processing and visualization using Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) software to identify the root causes of complex problems and the impacts of the sustainable tourism development system. The results of this study predict future changes regarding sustainable environment, sustainable economy, sustainable culture, and sustainable society, predicting that the four components will develop well if there is a bond between one variable and another.
