Chapter 24 relating to Education discusses the importance of AI in its widest sensein legal training. The chapter considers the requirement for lawyers to have knowledge of topics outside the law. It identifies 'mindset' as key in the success of modern legal education.It provides a helpful focus on questions such as: what do clients want? The discussion about how and whether this is a new approach and how often practising lawyers ask themselves this question in taking on tasks for clients is important and urgent.The chapter also considers how to work across disciplines, something unfamiliar perhaps to many practising lawyers.The chapter, like the chapter on ethics, sits above a lot of the technical analysis in therestof the book in providing a guide to the thinking required for lawyers to be effective in an information economy.
