Preparing for EPSS projects

Abstract

Planning an electronic performance support system (EPSS) project requires a thorough understanding of the target business application development schedule and a solid relationship with the application development team. The EPSS project plan should be integrated with the business application development plan. This allows significant input into the business application design and into the business process flow. Access to key business application developers and subject matter experts is necessary for a technically accurate and cohesive system. The following skills will be needed: instructional analysis and design; technical analysis; online writing; programming; and graphic art.
