This paper is aimed at discussing the issue of the other and of pedagogy from politics, poetics, and the philosophy of difference. In this sense, I question the other’s spatiality – colonial, multicultural and difference spatiality – relating it to the images produced for otherness: the other as evil, the evil invention of the other, the cry for the relation to the other, the irreducible other and the “ego” as an hostage of the other. Finally, I establish a relationship between such images and the (improbable) pedagogy for differences: the pedagogy of the other that has to be blotted, the pedagogy of the other as a host of our hostile hospitality and the pedagogy of the other that constantly reverberates.
