Cómo avanzar en la necesaria Transición a la Sostenibilidad*

Abstract

Resumen Esta contribución responde a la existencia de numerosos artículos que hacen referencia a la necesidad de transiciones (energética, verde, ecológica, etc.) en respuesta a los graves problemas a los que se enfrenta la humanidad. Se sintetiza el conjunto de problemas que caracterizan la presente situación de emergencia planetaria, señalando su estrecha vinculación, lo que impide resolver ningún problema concreto, como la crisis energética, mediante una transición exclusivamente centrada en el mismo. La finalidad central de este trabajo ha sido determinar de manera fundamentada cuáles son las transiciones que deberían conformar, conjuntamente, la Transición a la Sostenibilidad.Abstract This article is an answer to the current proliferation of scientific papers and news in the media about the need for transitions (energy transition, green transition, ecology transition…) in order to face the serious problems that affect contemporary societies. While taking into account the ensemble of problems that determine the present situation of planetary emergency, the main purpose of our research has been to establish, with the help of numerous and well-founded studies, which measures are needed to make possible the transition to sustainable and satisfactory conditions of life, i.e., which ensemble of particular transitions should shape the Transition to Sustainability.
