Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the results of training using a set system and conventional to the leg muscle explosive power of the volleyball club players in Lubuklinggau. This type of research is included in the quasi-experimental research category. The research design used was The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study were all volleyball clubs in Lubuklinggau city, totaling 7 clubs. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique, the samples in this study were 3 volleyball clubs in Lubuklinggau city including Sehase club, JVC and Caroline club. in order to obtain a sample of 44 male players. The test used is the vertical jump test which aims to determine the explosive power of leg muscles of volleyball club players in Lubuklinggau City, while the data analysis used is the t-test. The results of this study indicate that the training method using the set system has an effect on increasing the explosive power of leg muscles of volleyball players in the city of Lubuklinggau. In conclusion, conventional training methods have an effect on increasing the explosive power of leg muscles of volleyball players. The set system training method is more effective than conventional methods in increasing the explosive power of leg muscles of volleyball players.
