Abstract
This article shreds light on the global environmental problem and its impact on Latin America. The region experiences an ecological domino effect: deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions entail climate change, causing glaciers to melt. The ecological aspects of the region carry a global threat, which requires to solve the identified problems. The article discusses the main economic methods for improving the environmental management system in Latin America, including the inclusion of environmental methods in the agreement on preferential trade, promoting the circulation of environmentally preferred goods. This industry presents a particular perspective for the region, but it collides with the financial interests of TNCs and the specifics of institutionalism.
