Abstract
Lithium boro bismuth tellurite glasses doped with Er3+ ions were successfully prepared by conventional melt quenching method and investigated their temperature dependent AC conductivity through impedance analyzer. The frequency dependent AC conductivity has been analyzed using Almond-West type of power law. The conductivity increases with increase of both frequency and temperature. The obtained conductivity values lie in the range of 4.092x10-5 to 3.024x10-5 S/cm. The AC conductivity mechanism can be reasonably inference in terms of correlated barrier hopping (CBH) model.
