Abstract

A series of theoretical estimates of the efficiencies of metabolic and physiological processes which can be related to nutritional energetic measurements is presented. The examples and format were developed for, and have proven useful as, teaching aids in undergraduate and graduate courses in bioenergetics and are presented in the hope that others also might find them useful. © 1968, American Dairy Science Association.
