Abstract

Myricetin-3,7,3',4'-tetramethyl ether has been isolated as an aglycone from the acetone wash of Tillandsia usneoides. It is thus shown to be deposited externally, onleaf and stem surfaces. We suggest that the previously reported lipophilic flavonoids from this and other species are also exudate constituents. © 1992, Walter de Gruyter. All rights reserved.
