Abstract

Recently, studies regarding status of learners' learning, playing and interaction in online educational games with situated-learning strategy were very limited. This study conducted a preliminary analysis of the learning status of a multiplayer learning online game embedded with speech recognition techniques for English teaching. We conducted an analysis of learners' long-term operational records in this game to explore learners' status of learning, interaction, and playing, and relevant discussions were provided as references for future studies. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
