At the border between care and protection, clinical work on difficult adolescents requires a professional commitment where the reliable and foreseeable relationship aims at a real change. This commitment can only last in the long run if it relies on a benevolent team and on a theoretical model that both enable a review of the daily life. The attachment theory and the model of the Human Environment are called on to favour an educational clinical work with teenagers and their family, using metaphoric tools such as family sculpting. © Médecine & Hygiène.
