Abstract

The synthesis "Public policies and strategies of actors" is the chapter 4 of Handboook of Distance Education: Policies, administration and management. 11 articles illustrate the theme. Three articles are researches about the experience in France between 2000 and 2003 of the digital campuses. Two articles are devoted to economic dimensions ofdistance learning and two others to the implementation and understanding of the concept of "partnerships" in which one refers to the Quebec experience. Three articles address specific areas of policy: distance learning in jail, the establishment of new universities in the 1990s,the school support. The latter is a crosscutting paper. A conclusion comes on the salientfeatures of those researches. © Cned/Lavoisier.
