Abstract
Science fiction examines the effect of technology on society in the future. Science fiction is a potential tool for innovation processes in organisations. Some pioneering organisations like Intel, NATO and Nike already use science fiction in their planning and innovation processes. Futurist Brian Johnson has introduced a concept called science fiction prototyping (SF prototyping). The idea of SF prototypes is to use scientific facts as the basis for the SF prototypes. According to Johnson, SF prototyping aims to collaborate, iterate, and imagine the future together.
