Abstract

Adolescents and adults following the loss of a parent or significant elder relative. It may be of help to those who wish to remember and write about someone who has died, but who find photographs too emotive to contemplate. Those who find the physical detail of remembered characteristics or appearance too raw to approach in the early stages of grieving may also find it difficult. The facilitator should be alert to those who may access memories of an abusive family relationship.
