Abstract

Radiotherapy and immunotherapy benefit subsets of patients with metastatic cancer. Here, we review selected laboratory and clinical studies investigating the utility of combining radiotherapy and immunotherapy in metastatic patients. We examine potential approaches to increase the therapeutic ratio of radio-immunotherapy in the treatment of metastatic cancers moving forward.
