Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalis pendidikan karakter kebangsaan pada siswa SMA di Kota Malang melalui desain pesan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian dilakukan dengan rancangan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan peserta didik SMA di Kota Malang. Teknik dalam pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui pengamatan, interview dan tes. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wujud desain pesan pendidikan karakter SMA di Kota Malang berdasarkan pada kebijakan sekolah, dipengaruhi oleh kebijakan Kementerian Pendidikan, dan kurikulum yang berlaku saat ini. Praktek pendidikan karakter terintegrasi dengan berbagai kegiatan, acara rutin sekolah, serta kegiatan ekstra kurikuler. Perwujudan pembudayaan nilai-nilai karakter melalui kegiatan sekolah seperti upacara bendera, pramuka, pembiasaan salam, senyum dan sapa, berdoa bersama, menyanyikan lagu kebangsaan nasional, jum'at bersih kunjungan ke desa, serta berbagai kegiatan lainnya. Pesan yang dipergunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam praktek pendidikan karakter di sekolah berupa nilai-nilai luhur bangsa Indonesia (Pancasila), nilai agama, serta berbagai macam norma yang berlaku dalam masyarakat. Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe the importance of national character education for high school students in Malang City through the design of character education messages. The research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive design. The research subjects were teachers and students of high school in Malang city. Techniques in data collection were carried out through observation, interviews and tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the form of character education message design at high school in Malang city was based on school policies, influenced by the policies of the Ministry of Education, and based on the current curriculum. The practice of character education is integrated with various routine school activities and events, as well as extra-curricular activities. The realization of the culture of character values is carried out through school activities including flag ceremonies, scouts, habituation of greetings, smiles and greetings, praying together, singing the national anthem, clean Friday visits to villages, and various other activities. The messages used as teaching materials in the practice of character education in schools are in the form of the noble values of the Indonesian nation (Pancasila), religious values, and various kinds of norms that apply in society.
