Potensi Zakat Aset Digital Kripto Legal di Indonesia

Abstract

Indonesia has been regulating cryptocurrencies as commodities under the supervision of Bappebti, a bureau under the Indonesia’s ministry of trade. Crypto asset capitalization has growth rapidly over the stocks in Indonesia’s market. Its mean, crypto asset has a big potential as a “mal”to contribute as zakat source. The aim of this study is to show that crypto asset has meet the requirements of zakat object. This study method uses a qualitative approach with primary and secondary data that help the author to look the crypto asset work empirically. The findings show that economic value growth of crypto asset and income that comes from crypto asset are meet with requirement for zakat object.
