Abstract

In this survey of leprosy patients in Nepal, 1/2 of the 57 patients examined were found to have some ocular abnormality associated with leprosy. However, many did not have marked ocular signs, and might have passed as normal in the absence of a more detailed examination. This paper is intended to demonstrate the importance of regular examination of the eyes of every leprosy patient.
