Australian Indigenous Education Foundation Compendium of Best Practice for Achieving Successful Outcomes with Indigenous Students in Australian Boarding Schools

Abstract

This compendium identifies best practice success factors and strategies that have been shown to support Indigenous students to successfully complete their secondary education at some of Australia's leading boarding schools and make the transition into further study or employment. In particular it: collates the qualitative data collected from Australian practitioners, programs and schools working with Indigenous students; draws conclusions from the data and from AIEF's experience about what works best; and facilitates a dialogue between schools through AEIF Compendium online, an online community for practitioners.
