Human-computer interaction is fast transitioning from User-Centered Design to Learner-Centered Design as previous technological constraints are now being addressed. In this shift, designers need to deeply appreciate the fact that learners have unique needs beyond those of professional users: growth, diversity, and engagement. This article discusses the underlying issues.
