Abstract

Abstract. Depression is one part of mental health problems. Depression is produced by the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behavior. In 2019, the chairman of the Indonesian Psychiatric Association (PDSKJI) said that as many as 15.6 million Indonesians had depression. A person who is depressed is characterized by a mood that displays several symptoms including emotional, motivational, behavioral, physical and cognitive aspects. So this study aims to overcome the problem of moderate depression by using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). The subject in this study is an adult individual who shows symptoms of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). The results showed that Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) can reduce symptoms of moderate depression as well as changes such as fostering positive alternative thoughts, changes in behavior conditions and getting used to relaxation when in uncomfortable conditions. Abstrak. Depresi yaitu salah satu bagian permasalahan kesehatan mental. Depresi dihasilkan oleh hubungan antara pikiran, perasaan dan perilaku. Pada tahun 2019, Ketua Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Kedokteran Jiwa Indinesia (PDSKJI) mengatakan bahwa sebanyak 15,6 juta penduduk Indonesia telah mengalami gangguan depresi. Seseorang yang mengalami depresi ditandai oleh adanya suasana perasaan yang ditampilkan beberapa gejala-gejala mencakup aspek emosional, motivasi, perilaku, fisak dan kognitif. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan gangguan depresi sedang dengan menggunakan Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu seorang individu dewasa yang menunjukkan simptom-simptom Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) dapat menurunkan simptom-simptom depresi sedang serta adanya perubahan seperti menumbuhkan pikiran alternatif yang positif, adanya perubahan pada kondisi perilaku serta terbiasa melakukan relaksasi ketika dalam kondisi yang tidak nyaman.
