Abstract

Stable relationships are the cornerstone of the family system, with a long history that has led to its acknowledgment as a family model on the same level of importance as marriage. This was achieved through a work in stages, reflected in the course of history with the legislative and jurisprudential work carried out in each state, some more advanced than others. This situation allows for the study of the different legislations that consolidate the protection of the family and shows how conjugal partnerships are now clearly acknowledged.
