Abstract

The study aimed to determine the effect of the level of intelligence of quotients on the level of physical activity of Islamic primary students. The reality shows that some Islamic primary students are less eager to participate in physical education and other physical activities. Survey methods with test and measurement techniques were used in the study. Two instruments were used in the study: the Indonesian Physical Activity Test (TKJI) 2010 for 10 to 12-year-old students, which the Ministry of Indonesian National Education issued, and the results of intelligence tests conducted on Islamic primary students by the Psychology Institute in Bandung. The sample of the study was the fifth-grade students of Islamic primary. The total sample of this study consisted of 10 boys and 22 girls. The data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative with percentage. The results showed that the overall level of physical activity of Islamic primary students was low; 16 students are categorized low, 12 students with high intelligence have a moderate level of physical fitness. Moreover, 20 students who have average intelligence have a low level of physical activity.
