Abstract

Letters to the Editor Schizophrenia Bulletin, Vol. 28, No. 1, 2002 Response to McGorry and Edwards To the Editor: I appreciate the opportunity to address the points raised by Patrick McGorry and Jane Edwards in their response to my article "The Prevention of Schizophrenia: What Interventions Are Safe and Effective?" (Schizophrenia Bulletin, October 2001). I am happy to note that McGorry and Edwards agree with me on a number of points, and I hope that our agree- ment will help to eliminate a number of myths about the prevention of schizophrenia—myths that are currently fostering public policy initiatives far in advance of the available research evidence
