Flora of the canga of the Serra dos Carajás, Pará, Brazil: Costaceae

Abstract

Here we present morphological descriptions, images and identification keys to the species of Costaceae inhabiting the surrounding vegetation of cangas from the Serra dos Carajás, Pará state, Brazil. Two genera were recorded, two species of Chamaecostus and three of Costus, adding up to five species.
