Abstract

Carcinoma of the prostate is one of the most frequent malignant tumors in males. The necessary precise and detailed staging and grading are nowadays possible. These findings determine the individually differentiated therapeutic management. Localized prostatic carcinomas may be cured by radical operation. In the presence of metastases, therapeutic efforts should be focussed on alleviation of the pain.
