INTEGRATING VALUE EDUCATION FOR HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT: INSIGHTS FROM NEP 2020

Abstract

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasized the integration of value education to promote holistic development among students. This study aimed to explore the significance of embedding value education within the Indian educational framework, its alignment with NEP 2020, and its role in nurturing ethical, socially responsible, and emotionally intelligent individuals. This paper focuses on analyses of practical approaches, implementation challenges, and strategies to enhance the efficacy of value education in achieving the policy’s objectives. It marks a transformative step in India’s education system, stressing the integration of value education as a vital component to promote holistic development. This research paper explores the multifaceted dimensions of value education outlined in NEP 2020 and its potential to foster cognitive, emotional, social, and ethical growth among learners.
