Abstract

The aim of our research is to study the prevalence of Toxoplasmosis in human in Al-Muthanna province during October, November, December 2009 and January 2010.    The sample size of the population studied was 81, our study revealed that total infection was 44.5% and there was significant effect of age on proportion rate which increase directly with age, highest infection rates was in 35-39 age group, while lowest at 15-19 age groups.    The infection in Unemployed women was 75% and higher than employed which was 25%.Ratio of the abortion was high and reached to 69.4% from total infected women . 54.3% of total abortions were due to Toxoplasmal infections.
