ABSTRACT The research focuses on the problem of infidelity in the couple. Its objective is to identify the characteristics of the unfaithful behavior in people who live in Paraguay, between 18 to 40 years or more, who have had a relationship. Data is collected during the period 2018. The design is correlated descriptive non-experimental, centered quantitatively, transversally. The sample consists of 639 people who apply 2 questionnaires: 1. Demographic data (gender identity, age range, academic level, marital status, children, time of relationship) 2. Multidimensional inventory of infidelity, dimension unfaithful behavior, of Romero, Rivera and Díaz-Loving (2007) (α of Cronbach =. 96). The participants are selected by means of a sampling by successive contact of online application sent by the social networks, accessing the analysis by using the statistical program SPSS version 20 (test phase). The results are presented corresponding to the dimension unfaithful behavior and their respective subscales, 237 people claim that they were infidels and 402 no, 191 say they would tolerate a situation of lack of fidelity and 448 No, 429 claim that their partner was unfaithful and No 210. Regarding the relationship between the factors of unfaithful behavior, it is found that there is a moderate positive significant correlation between sexual and emotional infidelity, with respect to the desire for emotional and sexual infidelity with a level of importance 1%. In the comparison of the factors of the unfaithful behavior there is a significant difference between men and women with a level of significance of 1%. In the correlation between the unfaithful behavior factors, moderate and high positive relationships are obtained with a significance level of 1%.
