Mammary carcinoma is a disease when normal cells are genetically mutated and become abnormal. Cells can divide and proliferate abnormally and invade breast tissue originating from the ductal epithelium or its lobules. Malignant disease caused by mammary carcinoma is a significant problem faced by women in the world. In 2017 mammary carcinoma experienced by women ranked first in new cases, namely 252,710 cases. Every increase in age is thought to be one factor influencing the mammary carcinoma incidence due to hormonal exposure for a long time. This study aimed to describe the age and stage level experienced by patients with mammary carcinoma at Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung. This study used the descriptive method. The data collected was obtained from the medical records of mammary carcinoma patients recorded at the Surgical Oncology Unit of Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung from January to December 2018. Sampling carried out using a total sampling technique. The results showed there were 414 breast carcinoma patients. Mammary carcinoma was primarily found at the age of 36-50 years by 52.7%. The most common stage of mammary carcinoma is stage III B by 41.1%. The breast cancer incidence increases with age, and the high proportion in stage III is due to lack of information and awareness to early detection and delay in seeking treatment. It is recommended that the related regional health installations further increase education about the dangers of mammary carcinoma to women. It is hoped that there will be no increase in mammary carcinoma cases.
