Abstract

In contemporary society, the imperative focus on enhancing vehicular safety necessitates the development of advanced accident prevention, detection, and reporting systems. This study presents a meticulously designed prototype circuit, adaptable for various vehicle types, with a primary goal of accident prevention and rapid response. The circuit employs several key functionalities, including seat belt usage verification, driver alcohol consumption assessment, and prompt accident detection via a vibration sensor. Furthermore, it integrates GPS and GSM modules to enable swift communication with emergency services. The system’s core component is an Arduino microcontroller, which orchestrates data processing and predefined condition-based actions. Rigorous testing, conducted initially through Proteus software simulation and subsequently through real-world hardware implementation, validates the circuit’s performance and reliability. The overarching objective of this research is to reduce accidents caused by intoxicated driving, driver fatigue, and road obstructions. In accident scenarios, the electronic apparatus can promptly transmit precise distress signals to law enforcement and medical personnel, expediting casualty recovery and potentially saving lives. This study represents an innovative fusion of technology and safety measures, contributing to comprehensive road safety enhancement.
