Abstract

The WCAG 2.0 Test Samples Repository resembles an extensive test suite for Web accessibility evaluation tools. It provides Web content that demonstrates accessible and inaccessible coding practice. It can be used to examine how Web accessibility evaluation tools detect inaccessible Web content, and to help the calibration of their performance. However, unlike test suites, Test Samples are not an exhaustive set of test cases for all situations and coding practices. They are therefore not a definitive measurement of compliance but one of the metrics for assessing such compliance. The WCAG 2.0 Test Samples are also useful for the developers of authoring tools, of user agents, or of Web content. This paper introduces the implementation of the WCAG 2.0 Test Samples Repository. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
