Abstract

California's mineral industry experienced a gradual recovery from the economic recession in 1983. As production increased, industries serving the construction field were operating at full capacity by year-end. The article reviews major activity in undersea exploration, precious metals, tungsten, nickel, cobalt and zeolites.
