Abstract

Este estudo objetivou analisar o perfil das instituições de longa permanência para idosos (ILPIs). A pesquisa foi realizada por meio da análise dos roteiros de inspeção da Vigilância Sanitária da cidade de Maceió (AL) no período de 2009 a 2010. Participaram da pesquisa nove ILPIs situadas na cidade de Maceió. Os dados avaliados apontaram que 88% das instituições são de natureza filantrópica e 33% recebem subvenção do governo; 12% apresentam alvará de funcionamento sanitário; 45% possuem residentes de ambos os sexos; 78% não possuem política de educação permanente em gerontologia; 67% não atenderam às condições gerais estabelecidas na regulamentação sanitária; nenhuma instituição possui o Plano de Atenção Integral à Saúde preestabelecido na Resolução da Diretoria Colegiada (RDC) nº 283/05 da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (ANVISA). Quanto aos responsáveis técnicos, 33% possuem carga horária de trabalho de 8 horas e 78% possuem nível superior. No que se refere à população-alvo, 55% dos residentes são do sexo feminino, 48% são independentes e 34% procuram atendimento em centros de saúde e em hospital público. De acordo com o descrito, as ILPIs estudadas não oferecem serviços em conformidade com as especificações da RDC nº 283/05, que visa à proteção, à qualidade de serviços e ao controle da esfera competente quanto aos agravos à saúde dos idosos.This study aimed to analyze the profile of long-stay institutions for the elderly. The research was conducted by analyzing the scripts of the sanitary surveillance inspection of Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil from 2009 to 2010. Participated in the survey of nine institutions for the aged located in Maceió. Submitted data showed that 88% of the institutions are philanthropic and 33% receive government grant; 12% have sanitary permit operation; 45% are residents of both sexes; 78% have no policy of continuing education in gerontology; 67% did not meet the general conditions set out in the health regulations; no institution has full attention to preestablished health in Resolution nº 283/05 of the National Health Surveillance Agency plan. As for technicians responsible, 33% have workload of 8 hours and 78% have a university degree. With regard to the target population, 55% of residents are female; 48% are independent; and 34% seek treatment at health centers and public hospitals. In accordance with the above, the NHs studied do not provide services in accordance with the specifications of the RDC nº 283/05 which aims at protecting service quality and control, the competent sphere concerning health problems the health of the elderly.
