Abstract

The 40Ar/39Sr stepheating dating method was applied to parts of three boulders recovered at Site 439, DSDP Leg 57. All the samples gave a well-defined isochron. The isochron ages agree with each other within the experimental uncertainties and give a mean value of 21.4+-1.0Ma. -Authors
