Abstract

The legal system of occupational safety and health (OSH) and the supervisory organization in Mainland China and Hong Kong are briefly reviewed in this article. It appears that there are several similar areas of OSH between Hong Kong and Mainland China, such as on the management of occupational health, safety production, fire safety, dangerous goods, the boilers and pressure vessels, etc. Characteristics of the legal system both in Hong Kong and Mainland China are summarized, and areas which are used for reference reciprocally to improve OSH are proposed. Finally, the chal-lenges of OSH legal system facing jointly are identified.
