Abstract

This work aims to study and characterize a new bioactive natural products from medicinal plants of Moroccan oases. Information concerning in vitro antioxidant, chem. compn. and antimicrobial activities of the essential oil of Warionia saharae from Oases of Morocco is reported. The essential oil showed a relatively high radical scavenging ability and antioxidant activity detd. by 1,1-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay, ferric reducing (FRAP) assay and β-carotene bleaching test.
