Abstract

Bandwidth Management is very useful to control the bandwidth usage that will be used for some users or a large number of users. If this bandwidth is not controlled immediately, then the usage will be excessive to all users in the allocation. In the end, the network in the Department of Mathematics FMIPA UI is not so stable in the use of internet services to all existing users. Thus, such circumstances can result in internet bandwidth on allocation will not be evenly distributed. The absence of a bandwidth management, then many users who still use the internet network irregularly resulting in other users do not receive a fair bandwidth. Because in computer labs used by students in general to search for large data or search for files needs, the internet connection is not so stable with a lot of usage. Based on the existing problems, the author concluded that the PCQ (Peer Connection Queue) method as the problem solver can work well for many user users as in the computer lab and it is expected that Queue Tree can be a fair or even bandwidth sharing to all users who use the internet network, then the available connections become more stable and evenly distributed.
