Abstract

The article exposes the results of an investigation that sought to understand how territories have been transformed after the signing of the Peace Agreement with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in Colombia and how this has affected the management of rural teaching managers. Qualitative research was carried out from a phenomenological perspective, interviews and focus groups were applied to rural school managers in seven departments. Among the results, new violence has appeared in the territories due to the presence of new illegal armed groups, which affects students, teachers and school dynamics. Management is also being transformed towards territorial management to contribute to peace building. It is concluded that accompaniment from the Colombian State is required, especially at the budgetary level, since much of the initiatives of the managers find their greatest obstacle in the financial resources.
