Abstract

Human values education is a learning pattern that leads to strengthening the character of students. The character of students can be trained with the habituation that is done, such as praying together, sitting quietly, telling stories, and singing. Human values education emphasizes five values as the basis of education at the Insan Teladan School, namely; truth, virtue, peace, compassion, and non-violence. The purpose of education for human values is to create intelligent students, have good morals, attitude and character, and live with love for others. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative research with data collection methods using interview studies, documentation studies, and observation studies to obtain findings on research on human values education in strengthening the character of students in Insan Teladan Elementary School in Bogor Regency. The results of this descriptive qualitative research are the formation of character strengthening of students through planned human values education which is carried out optimally through the habit of praying together, sitting quietly, telling stories, and singing, as well as collaboration between teachers and parents as the role of educators in the family environment.
