Abstract

Synthesis, electronic and structural properties of a chiral NHC bearing a N-bonded cationic [4]helicene moiety are reported. This ligand is used to construct AuI, AuIIIand RhIcomplexes exhibiting far-red (chir)optical properties regardless of the metal.
