Disability Studies have four decades of history in which this field of knowledge has evolved and made its analysis more complex, adding new theoretical and practical approach-es. This time, and in order to know the evolution of these studies to Crip Theory, we start from the Anglo- Saxon the-oretical framework that allows us to draw a genealogy of this field of knowledge and, later, put it in dialogue with it is being developed in our context. Given that this field of studies does not have a long history in our context and that most of these analyzes have not been translated into our language, this article aims to be a brief guide to this field of study and, especially, to the rise of the Crip Theory.
