Abstract

This study aims to determine the channel, marketing function, margin and marketing efficiency of corn in Dasin Village, Tambakboyo District, Tuban Regency, East Java. The determination of the research area was determined by purposive sampling (deliberately). The method use dissnow ball sampling where in tracing marketing institutions and marketing channels that are for med based on information from producer farmers who are met randomly with the number of samples in this study as many as 5 cornfarmers in the research area. The results showed that the corn trading system in the research area was the Farmer-Group Lumbung "Gemah Ripah" channel-Pedagang Gatherer-Pedagang Retailer-Consumer. Marketing margin of Rp. 3000 per kg, with the distribution of the total profit share value of corn marketing institutionsis 73.32% and the share value of corn marketing costs is 26.68%. This mean sthat the share margin received by farmers is still higher than thes hare margin received by traders. The results of the calculation of marketing efficiency can be seen that the Epis 19%. This value indicates that the marketing channel isefficient.
