Abstract

The Campus Development Division of the University of Alicante Vice Chancellorship of Campus and Technology is in charge of the management of the University facilities and infrastructures. Among its many diverse and complex duties are the challenges and opportunities to mainstreaming a gender perspective. These are framed through the collaboration with Gender Equality Programmes, the coordination of two institutional projects (“Accessible Campus, Equal Campus” and “Inclusive Campus, Technology Campus”) as well as several promotional efforts. All these intertwined endeavours support the objective of fighting inequalities and building more livable spaces. Taking into account that the Campus is one of the main assets and attractions of the University of Alicante, its management not only contributes to its landscape and architectural excellence but also to making it a landmark of inclusion.
