Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of an aerobic physical exercise picgram without dietaty intervention prescribed with blood lactate /eve/s on body composition and lipid pio/'ile of ovetweight adolescents. A randomized study consisting of pre- and post-treatment tests was conducted on ovetweiglit ado escents who were tandomly divided into an expetimental gioup submitted to an aetobic exeicise piogram and a control gioup. The exercise program lasted 12 weeks. After the intervention, a reduction in triceps skin fold thickness, percent body fat and fat mass and an increase in fat-free mass and lipid pta file (1-1Db-c) were observed in the experimental group (pO.05). These findings indicate a possibe reduction in the risk of cordiovasculot diseoses in overweight adolescents who tegulotly exeicise.
